On Thursday night, a special smoking ceremony was held at TH King, conducted by Wurunjderi Elder Aunty Diane Kerr.
SKOB sponsor, the Killara Foundation - represented by Mitch Brown - facilitated the evening and talked about the design of the jumper, the history of the land, and to bring to light a series of keynote Speaker sessions open to the entire SKOB community to join free of charge online.
This series of keynotes and associated yarn groups is titled Aboriginal Australia in the 2020s: Tackling Challenges and Harnessing Opportunities in a Post Pandemic World.
Monday's night presentation by well respected Yorta Yorta man Ian Hamm, begins at 7pm. It's free to register and can be viewed online here.
