Congratulations to our magnificent SKOB President, Pat Mount, on receiving the City of Stonnington Volunteer of the Year Award (Sports) for 2022. The award is thoroughly deserved and a right recognition of his countless efforts and his positive impact across all our community of players, supporters and volunteers.
Coming on as President this year Pat's initial vision was to bring all our Members, Players, Women, Men, Under 19s and Life Members - together - to enjoy some of the missed experiences caused by the Pandemic.
In 2022, Pat organised so many great functions and after-match football catchups including eight Lunches, five Player social functions (in the clubrooms), a 500-person 75th function and Premiership celebrations till dawn !
Pat doesn't really think he is "volunteering". He just churns out fifty hours of week for his Footy Club. He leads by example as well as commanding a great ability to co-ordinate other resources when the time is right/needed.
He has a modest, engaging and persuasive manner which underpins a steely determination to do what's right and to persevere when his moral compass leads him forward.
All at SKOB know how so lucky we are to have a leader with boundless energy underpinned by a decisive, charming, popular and worldly personality.
We are thrilled that Pat has been recognised for his efforts amongst a quality field of 2022 candidates.
