Josh takes out Jack

All the winners from tonight's virtual SKOB awards announcement

Josh Wallis capped off a great season in 2021 taking out the Jack Douglas Medal for the Best & Fairest in the SKOB seniors. Following on less than 24 hours after being announced as the VAFA Coach's MVP winner, Josh won the prestigious award from ultra consistent Conor Ross, with 2021 recruit Riley Bowman in 3rd place.

Our Premier Saints winner is Jessica Joyce, who won the Lisa Ring Trophy for the first time. An excited coach, Tom Purcell (after a rather lengthy drumroll) read out the "Rolls Royce"as a worthy winner of the award in a tight finish by a single vote from Bree Doyle who herself had been awarded the VAFA Coach's MVP gong the night before in Premier Women's.

It's fair to say that the SKOB pundits and the opposing coaches were very much in sync

In our final presentation of the night, Pat Mount was named Best Clubman for 2021. Pat wore many hats this season - as he has since joining SKOB in 1997. Along with all the work he does as player and organiser of the Masters, he also coached the Under 23's AND the Under 19's (Div 4) side - stepping in twice at the last minute to help out the club in need. A worthy recipient of a much respected award, Pat was honored to accept the Michael O'Kelly Perpetual Trophy

All the award winners are attached below. Congratulations to them, and to everyone who took part in season 2021. We hope to see you all bigger and better in 2022.
