However, as this terrible situation unfolds - football is very much a secondary consideration. The competition owes a duty to society that is far more important than football.
100% compliance with self isolation would, by definition solve the crisis within 14 days. By breaking down isolation protocols we will, by definition, be extending the crisis.
People need to understand that their non compliant behaviour may kill their friends elderly parents / grandparents or the immune deficient. As seen by Friday night at Bondi beach – many people are not heeding warnings and need to understand the gravity of the situation.
Please everyone, listen to the experts, accept the requests for self isolation and help us get through this crisis.

The VAFA will communicate with clubs when they believe it is safe to return to training based on forthcoming evidence surrounding COVID-19.
