Back to business - pre season heats up

After a great summer break, our Men's and Women's players have been back at it, following up their training regime that commenced in November last year. As in any pre-season there's a buzz about as a healthy mix of fresh new faces and familiar old ones are gather in the SKOB fold as they prepare to launch into Season 2023. Our teams are sharing access to TH King and the fabulous facilities at St.Kevin's Tooronga playing fields. This has provided plenty of space for all and meant that our coaches have been able to run full ground drills - a luxury in pre-season.

The under 19s have had very good numbers at training thus far, and the young players are working hard on the track and thriving. The senior men's group are also putting in the yards and training in decent numbers. New players are welcome to come down and join in as we look to increase our playing group to cover the long season ahead.

Training for the men's seniors is Tuesdays at Tooronga and Thursdays at TH King.

Under 19 are TH King on Tuesday with Thursday at Tooronga

Saints leadership group announced

The baton has been passed on to a new group of leaders for the Saints. The leadership group was announced this week and our congrats go out to (left to right) Tayla Nichols, Emma Lynch (Vice Captain), Margaret Gleeson (Captain), Bree Doyle (Captain), Izzy Worth and Grace Mills. Sarah Betts (is missing from the photo above but is also in the leadership group).

Coach Tom Purcell is thrilled with the appointments and the way the Saints are tracking. Would always welcome anyone interested to join us on the track, but the numbers have been solid and the enthusiasm is high. The Saints are enjoying putting in the hard yards and the skills improvement at this time of year is really evident. It's a great time to join - Training is on Tuesdays at TH King and Thursdays at Tooronga from 6:15.

Camp a smashing success

Last weekend members of the women's teams headed to the Peninsula for the Pre-Season camp. Hosted by Saints ambassador Lisa Ring, over 40 members of the playing group attended, making it our most successful Saints camp yet. Our thanks to Lisa for providing a great opportunity for the players to train together, eat together and socialise, giving them a huge springboard for the year ahead. Thanks also to Lisa Ginies for organising the event and all the fabulous catering, enjoyed by all the players.
