All at SKOB congratulate the following players on achieving Milestones this Season. We hope to see them all playing many more games to come

Nick McCardle

200 Games

Congratulations to SKOBs Nick McArdle on reaching 200 games. Nick followed
his father John ‘Perc’ McArdle and brothers Matthew and Daniel to SKOB and is
now in his fourteenth continuous season. Nick first played with the U19s back in
2006 and made his Senior debut in 2008 while still U19 and has gone on to play
many outstanding Senior and Reserves games, including many Finals matches. In
2018 he was a member of the Premier Thirds Premiership team. Well done Nick,
from all at SKOB.

Nick Wood

100 Games

Congratulations to SKOBs Nick Wood on reaching 100 games. Nick first played
with SKOBs back in 2007 while still attending St Kevin’s College but then played
VFL with Coburg and Box Hill Hawks for 5 seasons before returning to SKOBs in
2014, winning the Club’s B & F Award that season. Nick was appointed Senior
Vice Captain in 2015 and has been Senior Captain since 2017. Along the way, he
has been a member of the 2015 B Grade Premiership team and the back-to-back
Premier Grade Premierships teams of 2017 and 2018. Nick was also a member of
the VAFA Big V side of 2018 and 2019, winning the coveted Spirit of the Big V
Award this year. Well done Nick, from all at SKOB.

Tom Sullivan

100 Games

Congratulations to SKOBs Tom Sullivan on reaching 100 games. Tom played
U19 football with SKOBs in 2012 while still attending St Kevin’s College, where
he was a member of the College’s APS premiership team. Tom is currently
Captain of the Reserves team and together with brother Lachie and sister Claudia
who plays for the SKOB Saints, forms part of the Sullivan trifecta. Well done
Tom, from all at SKOB.

Nick Meehan

100 Games

Congratulations to SKOBs Nick Meehan on reaching 100 games. Now in his
seventh season at SKOB, Nick has been a tremendous stalwart of the Club. He was
a member of the First XVIII at St Kevin’s College in 2013 where he was Runner-
Up in the B & F Award. He came to SKOBs in 2014, playing Under 19s football
but also earning promotion to the Seniors that year. He was a member of the 2014
Senior B Grade Premiership team. Nick now plays mainly Reserves football and
will be an important member of that side as it prepares for Finals action in
September. Well done Nick, from all at SKOB.

Zach Ginies

150 Games

Congratulations to SKOBs Zach Ginies on reaching 150 games. Zach joined
SKOBs in 2011, gaining Senior selection in 2012 while still an U19 player and
winning the Best First Year Player Award that year. In his short time at SKOB,
Zach has been a member of 3 Premiership teams; the Senior B Grade Premiership
in 2015, the Senior Premier Grade Premiership in 2017 and the Premier Thirds
Premiership last season. Well done Zach, from all at SKOB.ne Pat, from all at SKOB.

Patrick Dowd

150 Games

Congratulations to Patrick Dowd on reaching 150 games. Pat joined his
brother Ben at SKOBs in 2007 and played Senior football in his first two seasons
while still an U19 player. He quickly established himself as a regular seniors
player in the years when SKOBs pushed hard to gain promotion to Premier Grade
which was finally achieved in 2015. Well done Pat, from all at SKOB.

Luke Kalesaran

150 Games

Luke debuted for SKOB in 1999 whilst still in Year 12 at the college and quickly forged a name for himself for his dash and attacking style of play. Vice-captain and runner up B&F in the u/19’s in 2001, Luke tasted premiership success in the Reserves B Grade miracle win in 2004 and was an important part of the Masters flag in 2018. “Kala” is well respected by all at SKOB and a very popular team mate in all of the sides he has played in over the years. The club congratulate him on his 150th game milestone and wish him well for the future.

Ray Short

150 Games

Ray Short came to the club from Assumption College and debuted in 2005. On field “Shorty” has been a great ruckman that can pinch hit up forward tasting

 premiership success in the Club XVIII in 2005, Thirds in 2010 and Masters in 2018, as well as captain and captain-coach roles in the Club XVIII.

Off field Ray has contributed greatly to the club serving on the committee since 2016 and playing an important role co-founding the Masters in 2016.

Pete Murray

150 Games

A clever and crafty small forward, Peter Murray joined the club straight from the college and played in the u/19 team in 2002 that finished runners up. Pete went on to be vice-captain of the reserves premiership side in 2007 and captained the reserves from 2008 to 2010.  In 2013 Pete was playing-coach of the thirds and in 2014 was co-coach of the thirds. In 2018 Pete tasted premiership success again in the Masters.
